Hello, everyone. This is Coasters Confirmed, coming at you with a countdown of my personal opinion of the rankings of the PvZ games. Note that I do not play all of the PvZ games often, I am not very good, and I don't have any Chinese games. Remember that this is my opinion, and most people will probably disagree with that. That's okay, though. If the world was made up of people who all had the same opinion, it would be a lot worse of a place. I'm going to try to post more often, so prepare for stuff like this more often.
What I am not counting:
1. Plants vs. Zombies Pinball (I've never played it or met anyone who has)
2. Plants vs. Zombies Risk (I don't have it and I can't really get gameplay)
3. Use Your Brains EDU (If I were counting this, it would be at the bottom, but this is an "educational" game, so I'm counting it out)
4. Plants vs. Zombies Pinyin Adventure (Although you actually learn in this, I'm still counting this out)
5. Plants vs. Zombies: Magic Book (What even is this?)
6. Plants vs. Zombies Social Edition and 2 (I don't have enough gameplay of this to review it)
7. Plants vs. Zombies Web Version (Never heard of it until just now)

#1 Plants vs. Zombies (2009)[]
It all started here, folks. In case you don't know,although you wouldn't be on this wiki if you didn't know this, Plants vs. Zombies is a tower defense game where you grow an army of strange plants to fend off incoming zombies and save your brain from being eaten. Why is this my number 1? Well, for starters, it is one of the most well-known casual games and tower defense games. It also feels a lot more charming than most of the other games do nowadays. Not to mention that none of these other games would exist without it.
#2 Plants vs. Zombies Heroes (2016)[]
The newest installment in the PvZ franchise, Plants vs. Zombies Heroes is a card game where you play as one of ten heroes on either side and battle against other players to win. There are many reasons why I have come to like this game so much. One is how smooth the graphics are. The heroes are beautifully designed and filled with personality. But the main reason I love this game so much is the implementation of cards. They've managed to fit classic staples of the series such as Peashooters and Sunflowers into the game seamlessly, while also adding new characters like Steel Magnolia or The Podfather that seem to fit in just as well as the more classic characters. And who can't love those comics? The only real complaint I have is that the story mode kinda sucks. But other than that, great job, Popcap!
#3 Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 (2016)[]
Being the sequel to the beloved casual shooter"Garden Warfare" is not an easy task. But Garden Warfare 2 manages to fill the original's shoes while expanding on it. All eight classes from the first one come back, while additionally adding six new classes: the scout Imp who can convert to a giant tank character called the Z-Mech, a mobile tank called Citron made to counter the deadly Imp, a magical sorceress named Rose who specializes in crowd control, a powerful action fighter Super Brainz who deals powerful close-range attacks, a fighter known as Kernel Corn filling in the role of the Foot Soldier on the plants team, and a shotgun/sniper pirate called Captain Deadbeard. This plus beautiful maps, inventive game modes, fun costumes, and hundreds of unlockable variants adds up to a pretty cool game. Say what you want about Trials of Gnomus, you can't deny how much fun this is to play.
#4 Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (2014)[]
Speak of the devil. Garden Warfare was PvZ's original shooter game: complete with eight classes, twelve maps, nine game modes, and thousands of customizations. I absolutely adore this game for its diversity of characters and beautiful setting. However, it would have been nice if they had added more maps, I mean, Garden Warfare 2 had twelve maps atlaunch. It would also be nice to have balancing post GW2. Don't get me wrong, I love this game, but there are some key features missing in this game that were never filled in. The one thing that is nice about this game in comparison to its successor is the amount of charm. I don't know if it's the suburban setting, the slightly faded color scheme, or the relaxing background music, but I feel that this game is a little more homey than GW2 is.
#5 Plants vs. Zombies 2: Chinese Edition (2014)[]
That's right! I'm rating this higher than the International vesion!Come at me!Here's the thing, I don't actually play this game, which makes it very hard to review, but looking at gameplay of this makes me think that this may be better than the International one. For one, it has more plants and zombies than the International does, and a lot of them seem to fit a lot better in their respective worlds than some International ones do(I'm looking at you, Garlic). Probably the biggest thing about this version, however, is that, unlike its International counterpart, this doesn't feel dead. Maybe it's that they are only in Jurassic Marsh, or that they are constantly running events, or that they didn't make the mistake of getting rid of star gates (Why did they ever get rid of those?). Sure, this game has lots of flaws, but it narrowly makes it above the International version for these reasons.
#6 Plants vs. Zombies Adventures (2013)[]
We all miss this hidden jewel! Unfortunately, I was not lucky enough to play this while it was out, but I have seen enough gameplay to know what this is about. This was a Facebook-based game where the player could create a town, attack incoming zombies, and send out zombies to other players' houses. While this game does has charm and a pretty nice setting, there are not very many plants to get, and the zombies sprites are on the strange side. However, you cannot ignore the charm in this game, so that is why it takes the #6 spot.
#7 Plants vs. Zombies 2 (2013)[]
I really wish I could put this higher on the list, but unfortunately this game was plagued from the start by being free-to-play. If you look past that, the beginning of the game only featured three worlds: Ancient Egypt, Pirate Seas, and Wild West. All of them were beautiful, and for that short time PvZ2 was better than its predessor. Then Far Future came, and fans were overjoyed when it took everything they loved about the first three worlds and added to it. However, things took a turn for the worse when PvZ launched Dark Ages. It took there perfect formula for a good world and shoved it out the window. Twenty unbearable levels, miniscule unlockables, and stupidly overpowered zombies were only some of its problems. Things went more downhill after the insanely difficult Big Wave Beach. Frotbite Caves and Lost City were a gleam of hope, but that was shorty shot down after Neon Mixtape Tour (what?), Jurassic Marsh (even more what?), and Modern Day (you've got to be kidding me...). Not only that, but now they're adding more levels, as if we weren't miserable enough after the first ones. There are some good things about this, the beautiful graphics and instant classics such as Snapdragon and Laser Bean, but that can not overcome all of the flaws. PvZ2 is dead, face it. EA is too stupid to start planning a 3.
#8 Plants vs. Zombies: Great Wall Edition (2012)[]
I don't know all that much about this game. I probably don't know enough about it to be reviewing it, but from what I've seen I'll try to do it. This game seems interesting... to say the least. All of the zombies and environments have been made to a Chinese theme... for some reason. The Zombot is a giant robot emperor... Okay? A lot of things in this game just don't make much sense. This may be a smaller review, but I don't know much information on it, so this is the best I've got.
#9 Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars (2014)[]
This is where things get really ugly. I thought I was supposed to like this game, but I really can't. The whole thing seems crazy to me. A strange health system? A confusing leveling up mechanic? Giant zombies for some reason? Get it together! You're supposed to make sense! What kind of upgrade name is Superman Bean? Isn't that copyrighted? The whole thing makes me shake my head. Just no.
#10 Plants vs. Zombies Online (2014)[]
Plants vs. Zombies and online. Two things that should go together but don't. I'm going to ignore how hard it is to get into this game and talk about the mechanics. Okay, one: Why is the upgrading system so... unfinished? Two characters have upgrades, and that's it. What is with the strange combination art style of the 1st and the 2nd games? Why is there an alternate Ancient Egypt? Why is there another Winter Melon? Why is everything so... ugly? I'll just move on.
And the worst PvZ game is...
#11 Plants vs. Zombies: Journey to the West (Release Date Unknown)[]
There we have it, the worst of the worst. I don't know who's idea it was to base a casual, family-friendly tower defense game after an old Chinese folk legend. I don't know where to start with how sick this game makes me feel. Is it the awful loop of low-quality sound playing in the background? Is it the plants designed by the world's worst MS Paint artist? What did they do to Laser Bean and Snapdragon? I didn't think a professionally made game could be so repulsive. Oh wait... ET the Game exists...
