Shadow of the Erdrtee DLC Collectibles
There are a number of things to collect in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, many of which will aid your journey through the Realm of Shadow or perhaps even illuminate some of its secrets. These include:
5 Map Fragments50 Scadutree Fragments23 Revered Spirit Ashes14 Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones9 Larval Tears
Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Map Fragments
The world of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is massive, and to reveal each of the five different regions of the Realm of Shadow on your map, you’ll first need to collect each region’s Map Fragment.
This checklist shows a quick overview of where to find each of the five Shadow of the Erdtree Map Fragments. Click the checkboxes below once you’ve collected each fragment!
Some of these Map Fragments can be tricky to get to. Be sure to check out our Shadow of the Erdtree Map Fragment Locations guide for a full walkthrough on how to find each Map Fragment.
Map Location | Checkmark | Description |
Alongside the road located to the northeast of where you start your adventure, just below the Scorched Ruins landmark that can’t be missed | ||
Located far in the southwest region known as the Cerulean Coast | ||
Found straight north from the Miquella’s Cross outside the Castle Ensis boss arena, where the obelisk is guarded by a Black Knight on horseback, near the foot of a Messmer Soldier Camp | ||
From Ruah Base, follow the valley to the southwest where you’ll have to fend off two Guardian Golems, and you’ll find the obelisk with the map fragment right before entering the Temple Town Ruins | ||
Defeat Jori the Inquisitor, and you’ll be granted access into the Abyssal Woods. You can find the Map Fragment by traveling south from the Forsaken Graveyard and following the foreboding signs south from the Woodland Trail and southeast to the Church Ruins. |
Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Scadutree Fragments
Scadutree Fragments are an essential key item in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. You will need to collect plenty of Scadutree Fragments to increase your Scadutree Blessing Level. The higher your Scadutree Blessing Level, the greater your attack and defense scales while in the Realm of Shadow.
While you won’t need all of these Scadutree Fragments to fully max out your Scadutree Blessing Level, these fragments can be tricky to find. Use this checklist to mark off which you’ve already found and which you still need to hunt down.
NOTE: While there are 50 Scadutree Fragments in the Elden Ring DLC, you will find only 42 checkmarks below. This is because some Scadutree Fragments are found in multiples at a singular location.
Map Location | Collected | Description |
Gravesite Plain (8 Fragments) | ||
---|---|---|
You can find two Scadutree Fragments inside the Church of Consolation, east of the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace down the main road heading south of the Scorched Ruins. It will be guarded by a Black Knight who also drops a Black Steel Greathammer. | ||
Dropped by a Shadow Undead holding a jar over its head in the cemetery to the northeast of the Scorched Ruins, and directly east of its Site of Grace. | ||
From the starting Site of Grace, simply go North until you reach the main road, then turn west and go past the Furnace Golem. You’ll see the Fragment from afar where the roads merge, and the friendly NPCs Freyja and the Hornsent are standing. At the foot of the Cross of Miquella, you'll find a Scadutree Fragment. | ||
From the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace, go west through the large tunnel, in the direction of Belurat, Tower Settlement (the big Legacy Dungeon in the distance surrounded by a huge wall).
| ||
A Shadow Undead holding a sparkling jar can be found in Gravesite Plain who will drop a Scadutree Fragment when killed, but is found outside a town that's not easy to get to.
| ||
A few steps before the next Site of Grace, Castle Front, in front of Castle Ensis, you’ll find the Scadutree Fragment on your right, a little outside the main road and near some tents at the base of a statue of Marika. | ||
Another Scadutree Fragment is located at one of Miquella's Crosses in the southeast of Gravesite Plain. This one is near the Pillar Path Cross, located at the end of a path south of Castle Ensis, by taking a sloping path upward through the graveyard and then a slight left off the main road, where Thiollier, one of Miquella's followers is resting. | ||
Belurat, Tower Settlement (1 Fragment) | ||
This Scadutree Fragment can be found inside Belurat, Tower Settlement - the first Legacy Dungeon in the DLC. | ||
Castle Ensis (1 Fragment) | ||
You can find a single Scadutree Fragment in the "minor" legacy dungeon of Castle Ensis that borders the Scadu Altus in the eastern half of the Gravesite Plain region. | ||
Scadu Atlus (12 Fragments) | ||
When you get past Castle Ensis and defeat Rellana, you’ll reach Scadu Altus. Near the first Site of Grace, Highroad Cross, you’ll find the new fragment, alongside a new Cross of Miquella and two NPCs, Needle Knight Leda, and the Hornsent. | ||
The Church of the Crusade holds 2 Scadutree Fragments upon its altar, located on a large hill to the north of the Highroad Cross. | ||
There are a few outposts in the Scadu Altus that are filled with Soldiers of Messmer and dangerous Black Knights, and one of them holds a Scadutree Fragment at the foot of a statue of Marika above the road that runs through the camp, along a small cobblestone wall. The camp can be found by taking the main road north toward Shadow Keep from the Highroad Cross. | ||
Another outpost full of Messmer's Soldiers can be found down the hill from the Highroad Cross, on the main road south that leads to Moorth Ruins opposite the campsite. Here you can find another statue of Marika with a Scadutree Fragment at its base, guarded by a host of Messmer's Soldiers. | ||
Just across the road from the Southern Messmer Camp is the large Moorth Ruins, which is partially buried by a crater. Here you can find one of Miquella's Crosses, alongside a silent but friendly monk named Dryleaf Dane. At the base of the cross on the northern side of the ruins, you can find the Scadutree Fragment. | ||
Travel to the southeastern edge of the large sinkhole that half the town has fallen into, and near the edge of the pit's cliffs, you can spot a lone Shadow Undead holding a sparkling jar. Defeat him to get the Scadutree Fragment he holds, but be wary as a Curseblade Ascetic is waiting just out of view to ambush you. | ||
From the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, go northeast until you find a small lake. If you open the map, it’s a pool of water right below another pool of water. It will have several blue worm creatures around it. Ignore the worms and look for an entrance to a cave from there on the north side, and at its entrance is a large statue of Marika that holds the Scadutree Fragment. | ||
On the far south edge of the Scadu Altus, you'll find a sealed Spiritspring. Unseal the Spiritspring and use it to jump onto a plateau to the south. You can find a Cross of Miquella overlooking the Jagged Peak far to the south, and a Scadutree Fragment at its base. | ||
While in the Shadow Keep, there's an alternate hidden path you can take to exit the keep to a lower part of the Scadu Altus region. The path to this fragment is long and will require a fair amount of platforming (check out our full Scadutree Fragment Locations guide). Start at the Recluses' River Upstream Site of Grace, and at the end of this path you will find the fragment inside a coffin. | ||
From the Recluses' River Downstream Site of Grace you'll see a large stone grave embedded in the wall on your left that you can descend and reach a small wetland area to the east of the main river and its waterfalls. Among the watering hole, you can fight two Hippopotamus. Each one of them drops one Scadutree Fragment, granting you two in total. | ||
Shadow Keep (11 Fragments) | ||
You’ll receive this one after defeating the Golden Hippopotamus boss at the entrance of Shadow Keep. You’ll also unlock the first Site of Grace of the Legacy Dungeon, Main Gate Plaza. | ||
Past the Main Gate of Shadow Keep, you can head through a drawbridge guarded by a Fire Knight to take a lift up to the storehouse area of the keep. On the fourth floor, you'll find a new Site of Grace, a Cross of Miquella, and the desired Scadutree Fragment. | ||
Reaching the seventh floor of the Shadow Keep Storehouse, you'll be able to exit outside for the last section and go through a bridge that connects the place with the last big room of the storehouse. You have to defeat a powerful Messmer knight, but once you do, you can open the door in front of you and get a Scadutree Fragment as a reward | ||
While this fragment is located in Shadow Keep, you can't actually reach it from the main entrance of the place. You need to find the east side of the region, the one called Church District, which you can reach by descending Moorth Ruins. Picking up this fragment will require some tricky platforming (and some potential deaths), so check out our Scadutree Fragment Locations guide for the full walkthrough. | ||
Reaching this Site of Grace is not easy. You need to find the way to Scaduview North, which involves some strange ways. You can find a detailed guide on how to reach this area here. | ||
From the Shadow Keep, Back Gate Site of Grace, you need to advance forward, get outside and you'll be in Scaduview North. Here, you'll have to face Commander Gaius. Once that commander is defeated, summon Torrent and go left, through the only path that leads to somewhere. You'll enter a vast piece of land that is almost empty, except for a cabin on your left, and the Scadutree Chalice at the end of the area, in the north (marked on the map after a big rectangle). | ||
Cerulean Coast (2 Fragments) | ||
From the initial Site of Grace in the area, ride Torrent in a straight line, trying to reach the southeast side of the region. You'll face a Ghostflame Dragon and find a Map Fragment on the way. As you reach a cliff on your left, you'll see a Miquella's Cross. There's also a new Site of Grace and the Scadutree Fragment. | ||
From the Site of Grace Cerulean Coast West, go northeast and find an opening where you can start exploring the north of the Cerulean Coast. Here you'll find a lake area with a bunch of different enemies, including a mini-boss. When the path opens, turn left. Along the way, you'll find a cave on your right. There's a Demi-Human here, but if you beat it, you can also pick up a fragment. | ||
Charo's Hidden Grave (1 Fragment) | ||
Charo's Hidden Grave has only one Site of Grace. From it, ride your horse to the west side, following the left path. You'll find birds and other enemies, but don't worry about them now. At one point, you'll see a Miranda flower on your left. Skip it and go up using the path to the right. As soon as you're up there, you'll see a Hippopotamus. It will drop one fragment when defeated. | ||
Stone Coffin Fissure (1 Fragment) | ||
The fragment is next to the Cross and second Site of Grace in the area, Fissure Cross. You’ll get here as you continue the straightforward progression in Stone Coffin Fissure. | ||
Ancient Ruins of Rauh (5 Fragments) | ||
As you enter the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, which can only be accessed from the west exit in Shadow Keep, you need to explore for a few minutes until you get to the first Site of Grace, Rauh Ancient Ruins, East. Here will be one of the first Scadutree Fragments of the region. | ||
From the entrance from Shadow Keep, turn left and use the big lift you'll find out in the open. You'll descend into some ruins. Follow the path until you find a small hole on your left. Go for it and continue straightforward. You'll find a Hippopotamus here. It will drop one Scadutree Fragment when defeated. | ||
From the Rauh Ancient Ruins, East Site of Grace, turn right and start riding your horse through the ruins entrance. Go forward and turn right when you have to. There will be a fork shortly after this, and you need to turn right again. In the new room you'll see a Spiritspring: ignore it. Keep going forward until you find a second one, and use it. You'll drop right in front of a Shadow Undead with a sparkling jar. Defeat it to get a Scadutree Fragment. | ||
From the Rauh Ancient Ruins, West Site of Grace, call Torrent and enter the ruins in front of the SoG. You first will have stairs with a few enemies — particularly watch out for the ones throwing flames that bounce a couple of times. Deal with them or skip the battle, and turn right when you're at the top.Inside this big new room, just run in a straight line and reach a kind of altar, with two Shadow Undead around it. You can pick up the fragment here. | ||
The Fragment itself is located in the Temple Town Ruins, but the walled ruin seems to be impentrable. Thankfully, if you search the south wall carefully, you'll find a small hole to enter through. Now you just need to use the stairs here, climb the roof, descend on the platform in front of you, and jump to the balcony with a corpse. Here's your fragment. | ||
Abyssal Woods (3 Fragments) | ||
As you enter the Abyssal Woods, run in a straight line and you’ll find the Abandoned Church right after the Map Fragment of the area. Enter the building and you’ll find two Fragments. | ||
This Scadutree Fragment can be found near the northern center area of the Abyssal Woods, and thankfully it doesn't involve trying to pass by any of the creepy Winter Lanterns. | ||
Jagged Peak (1 Fragment) | ||
As you enter Jagged Peak (not the first entrance after the bridge, but the actual peak, after the fight against two dragons at the same time), you'll start climbing the region. At one point, huge boulders will come rolling your way. Avoid them and reach their point of origin. You'll see a corpse with the fragment. | ||
Enir-Ilim (4 Fragments) | ||
This Scadutree Fragment is thankfully found along the main path of the Legacy Dungeon somewhat early on, but will require you to fight your way to it. Once you open the door to the Spiral Rise, you'll find Miquella's final Cross along with the Scadutree Fragment. | ||
You can technically find this Scadturee Fragment back down in Belurat, but its location is only accessible from up in Enir-Ilim, and it's a bit of a platforming mess! Check out our Scadutree Fragment Locations guide for a full walkthrough! | ||
There is a Scadutree Fragment found not far from the Spiral Rise Site of Grace along the main path, so long as you know when to turn around. | ||
The last Scadutree Fragment found along the main path of Enir-Ilim can't be missed, as it's right before one final encounter before the true final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree. |
Shadow of the Erdtree Revered Spirit Ashes
There are 24 Revered Spirit Ashes which can be collected during the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Revered Spirit Ashes are used to upgrade your Spirit Ashes level, so that your favorite Spirit Ashes summons don't fall behind in damage and defense.
NOTE: Although there are 24 Revered Spirit Ashes in total, you will find only 23 checkmarks below. This is because one Revered Spirit Ash location grants two Ashes!
Map Location | Collected | Description |
Gravesite Plain (4 Ashes) | ||
---|---|---|
You can find your first Revered Spirit Ash pretty early in the game. This one is located to the southeast of the Scorched Ruins, at an altar with a headless statue. You can go straight to this from the first Site of Grace (Gravesite Plain) by going past the hanging tree that you’ll find on the way, before a cliff. | ||
From Greatbridge, North Site of Grace, go north. You’ll find the Abandoned Ailing Village on the way. As you reach the end of it and go past a few houses, go to the right side. You’ll see the statue from afar, but beware: there are four flying creatures around. | ||
This one is to the east of the Prospect Town, located south of Belurat along the cliffs. Look for a small pond with turtles along the eastern cliff and you'll find a headless statue with the Ash. | ||
On your path to Cerulean Coast, you'll have to go through poison swamps, on the east of the Castle Front Site of Grace. When you reach the swamps, turn left, find a huge crab on a lake, and enter the passage on your left, going past some Mirandas. Follow the path until you find a statue on your right with the ash. It's right before the Site of Grace Ellac River Cave. | ||
Belurat, Tower Settlement (4 Ashes) | ||
As soon as you enter the Legacy Dungeon, you’ll find a room packed with small scorpions. At the center of the room, there’s a statue with the item. Picking it up will give you two Revered Spirit Ashes. | ||
A Shadow Undead can be found in Belurat, after taking the path up to a broken bridge requiring you to jump across rooftops filled with Gravebirds. Up ahead, an enclosed bridge is where you can find the Shadow Undead with a pot, who will drop the Revered Spirit Ash on death. Be wary, as a Horned Warrior also patrols the bridge and can ambush you. | ||
From the roof area with the birds explained above, continue past the Shadow Undead with the jar, face a powerful knight, and turn left. Make your way forward until you advance on a section with a tree and multiple enemies around. Beware that some of these will attack you on sight, and the other will join as soon as you get hostile. Past the tree, on your left, you’ll see the statue. | ||
After you have defeated the boss of Belurat — the Divine Beast Dancing Lion — look for a lift to the side of the Stagefront that takes you to a large door. On the other side is a large stairway leading to the blocked Tower of Shadow, but at the base of the stairs, you can find a large headless corpse altar that holds a Revered Spirit Ash. | ||
Scadu Altus (4 Ashes) | ||
When you reach Moorth Ruins, on the east of the region, go past the ruins drawings on your map. As you get near the border of this ground level, you’ll see the statue. | ||
On your path towards the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, you’ll have to descend through Moorth Ruins and go through Bonny Village. When you’re in this village, go to the northeast side of it. You'll see a broken bridge and what looks like a dried river. Descend to the ground and go left. You'll find the statue at the end of the path. | ||
While you're exploring Ruins of Unte, you can find a coffin that leads you to Castle Watering Hole. Once you're here, move forward while riding Torrent. You'll see a Furnace Golem that will rise from the ground. You can deal with it, or simply turn left and look for the statue with the Revered Spirit Ash. It's located at the southeast of the ruins drawing on your map. | ||
Find the Village of Flies, and by climbing up the slopes to the far west side to find an altar behind some rocks with the Revered Spirit Ash. | ||
Shadow Keep (2 Ashes) | ||
Specimen Storehouse is one of the biggest areas in Shadow Keep. It's basically a huge library full of Shadow Undead, Fire Knights, Vulgar Militia, and specimens. Speaking of which, the first Revered Spirit Ash here is on the first big specimen you see as soon as you enter the room. To reach it, you need to go past it from the left side (beware of all the enemies in the way), use some stairs to climb one floor, and look for a section in which you can jump to the top of the bookshelves. | ||
This is the last main floor you'll reach in the Storehouse in Shadow Keep. To get here, you need to make progress until you reach a room on the fifth floor with a lever to change the position of the hanging specimens in the middle of the area. With their new positions, you'll be able to climb. Once you're in this Site of Grace, which will have Freyja in the same room, exit on your left and continue the path in a straight line. You'll find another hanging specimen on your left. Jump to it and you'll find the ash. | ||
Ancient Ruins of Rauh (4 Ashes) | ||
The one Revered Spirit Ash that can be found in Rauh Base is located near the Temple Town Ruins, which you'll find in the southern area past where the Map Fragment is. Ride along near the edge of the waterfall that feeds the Ellac River in Gravesite Plain, and you'll find an altar with a headless statue holding the Revered Spirit Ash. | ||
One several Shadow Undead carrying jars through the maze-like Rauh Ruins can be killed to reveal a Revered Spirit Ash, and thankfully this one is located early on when exploring the region. Enter the first ruins' interior area from the Viaduct Tower coming from the Shadow Keep, and look around the first large room to spot a Shadow Undead carrying the jar you need. Just be wary, as a Curseblade Ascetic enemy is creeping along roots above to ambush you. | ||
One of two Revered Spirit Ashes that can be found in the western half of the Rauh Ruins, after crossing the broken bridge and dodging (or defeating) the large Furnace Golem and finding the western Site of Grace. | ||
Another Shadow Undead in the Rauh Ruins carries a jar holding a Revered Spirit Ash, but this one is more well hidden than the rest. | ||
Ancient Ruins of Rauh (2 Ashes) | ||
Enter the manor/dungeon, and make your way through the area until you reach a loft to takes you across a bridge to the western half of the manor and Midra's Library Site of Grace. will drop a Revered Spirit Ash the first time he's defeated. | ||
Next to the Second Floor Site of Grace, look north to find a ladder you can kick down for a shortcut, and near the ladder is a large chandelier you can jump to. You'll find the Revered Spirit Ash on this chandelier. | ||
Ancient Ruins of Rauh (4 Ashes) | ||
The first Revered Spirit Ash you'll likely find in Enir-Ilim can be located fairly early inside the Legacy Dungeon. From the First Rise Site of Grace, head to the nearby plaza that's full of Inquisitors, and you'll find a fairly large one circling a fountain in the middle. By defeating this large Inquisitor (being mindful of his cohorts), you'll find that he drops a Revered Spirit Ash to loot the first time you kill him. | ||
Two Revered Spirit Ashes can be found at one altar in Enir-Ilim, which is also located early into the Legacy Dungeon. In the same plaza past the First Rise that is host to many Inquisitors (and the large one that drops a Revered Spirit Ash), you can find a lower area to drop down to among the roots of several trees. Look for a passage between the roots and you'll find a small enclosed area with several Fly-Men praying at an altar in front of a tree trunk, the only Revered Spirit Ash holding statue to have its head! | ||
The final Revered Spirit Ash can be found in the middle of the Legacy Dungeon, not far after reaching the Spiral Rise Site of Grace. Head up the spiral staircase until you can step out onto the rooftops, and prepare to fight your way through several Gravebirds. Once you reach the last of the Gravebirds and some more stairs leading further up, look left into a small altar room at the base of the stairs, and inside you'll find the Revered Spirit Ash. |
Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones
Just like in Elden Ring's base game, you can discover Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones in Shadow of the Erdtree to upgrade your weapons.
Map Location | Collected | Description |
Gravesite Plain (4 Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones) | ||
---|---|---|
This Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone is dropped by the Ghostflame Dragon located east of Belurat and west of the Abandoned Ailing Village. Kill the dragon on the lake and it drops a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone. | ||
From the Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace, follow the main road south until you find the Suppressing Pillar. There will be vultures and blue worms on the way, but you can go past them. When you reach the tower, enter it and use the lift. You’ll reach the roof of the pillar, and a chest will be waiting for you. The Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone is inside it. | ||
For this one, you need to reach the Dragon's Pit, which is a dungeon that connects Gravesite Plain with Jagged Peak. As you make progress in it, you'll have a moment where you need to go right or left. Go right first, climbing the stairs, because there will be a boss fight against a wyrm that you shouldn't miss. To find this ruin, start from the Castle Front Site of Grace and go southeast. Here the road will begin to open: follow the path where you see soldiers and monsters fighting. Ignore them and keep going forward — the entrance will be right in front of you. The Ancient Dragon stone is at the end of the ruin, when you interact with the altar. You'll find it when you interact with the lever that moves the platform in the lava. Just climb at the end of it and you'll reach it. | ||
Scadu Altus (2 Ancient Dragon Smithings Stones) | ||
First, let's find the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past. This is a ruin located southwest of Moorth Ruins in Scadu Altus. Beware of Demi-Humans around the entrance. Once here, make progress until you open the left door in the main chamber (the one where you first meet one of the big guys with diamonds on their back. When that door is open, go past it and turn right. You'll see a lever. Activate it and you'll have a few seconds to stand on the door as it goes up. Follow the path and you'll find the altar. | ||
At the southern edge of the region, past Moorth Ruins, you’ll find that a group of Messmer's Knights is fighting a Ghostlfame Dragon. Be patient and wait for them to take most of each other. Then finish the dragon and you’ll receive a Somber stone. | ||
Cerulean Coast (1 Ancient Dragon Smithings Stones) | ||
From the Site of Grace in the entrance (Cerulean Coast), run forward in a straight line. A Ghostflame Dragon will appear. Defeat it and a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone will be yours. | ||
Jagged Peak (4 Ancient Dragon Smithings Stones) | ||
Defeat Senessax, a major dragon that will appear as you look for Bayle in Jagged Peak. You’ll meet it a few minutes after seeing Igon at the entrance to the location | ||

To reach your objective in Jagged Peak, you need to start climbing the place after your battle with Senessax. When you're close to the end of the way, you'll have to start climbing the borders of an area, using Spiritsprings. After the second one (beware of gaps on the ground where you can fall) and jumping to a bunch of dragon corpses, you can find a human corpse with the stone. This will be shortly before the last Site of Grace in the area. | ||
Starting from the Jagged Peak Mountainside Site of Grace, head southwest on Torrent to climb the mountainside. You'll soon find the first Spiritspring Seal. Use it and continue southwest while hugging the left wall. The wall will start wrapping around south, and there will be a couple of gaps you'll need to double jump over. |
