If you’re anything like me, you’ve been itching to go to Las Vegas to see the Pawn Stars shop from the very first episode you saw of Pawn Stars.
The show, which has been running since 2009, features owner Rick Harrison, his son Corey, family friend Chumlee, and other employees working at the pawn shop, where they encounter many weird and wonderful items brought into the shop by customers.
My first trip to Vegas took place before I discovered Pawn Stars, and I kicked myself when I realised that I could have visited the pawn shop myself if I had only discovered the show earlier!
On my most recent trip to Las Vegas I made it my mission to finally visit the pawn shop from Pawn Stars. Unfortunately, though, I couldn’t find much info online about what it is like to actually visit the shop.
Having now visited the shop for myself I decided to write this post to cover everything you could possibly want to know before you visit – including when to visit, what to expect, and my honest opinion on whether or not it’s worth visiting.

Where is the Pawn Stars Shop?
You’ll find the World Famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, where Pawn Stars is filmed, on Las Vegas Boulevard, in between the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas/Fremont Street.
How to Get to the Pawn Stars Shop in Las Vegas
The pawn shop is just a 15-minute walk from Fremont Street, but if you’re visiting Las Vegas in summer chances are this walk would be unbearable in the heat!
Obviously if you’re visiting Vegas with a car this is the best and fastest way to get to the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop. There’s a large car park outside the shop, and parking is free.
However, if you’re like me and are visiting Vegas without a car, I have good news – you can reach the pawn shop via public transport.
The Deuce, a public bus, runs along the Las Vegas Strip all the way north past the Fremont Street Experience. It runs 24 hours a day, and the buses are surprisingly frequent. Tickets cost $6 for a 2-hour pass, $8 for 24 hours and $20 for three days. You’ll easily get your money’s worth. If you’re visiting Vegas without a car this is the perfect solution for you!
To reach the Pawn Stars shop with the Deuce, get off at the “SB Casino Center at Garces” bus stop. From here, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the pawn shop. The easiest way to make sure you get off at the right stop is to use Google Maps, which I found super useful in Las Vegas.
What’s It Like Visiting the Pawn Stars Shop?
The first thing that struck me was that the pawn shop is in the middle of nowhere – there’s pretty much nothing going on in this area of Las Vegas aside from the pawn shop. This might come as a shock given how the show’s B-roll makes it feel like the shop is right in the middle of Vegas’ hustle and bustle.
I visited the shop at around 1pm on a Thursday in June and fortunately there was no queue. However, I have read online that the queues here can get quite lengthy, so if you’re visiting on a weekend make sure you get here early to avoid the crowds!
The pawn shop is free to enter, and you’re allowed to take photos (except for the office area where the guys hang out on the show – this is off-limits). As I entered the shop I had a moment of shock – I couldn’t believe that I was standing in the place I had seen so often on my TV screen!
Inside, lots of people were browsing the items on display, but to be honest it did seem like most visitors were just fans of the show. I don’t think anybody was there just to shop.
Inside the shop you’ll find all sorts of different items, from celebrity autographs and sports memorabilia to posters, artworks, and more. Prices range from affordable to very expensive – it just depends on what you’re looking at.
There were plenty of small, cheap items on display like figurines and jewellery (that also looked pretty tacky – but what do I know…), so if you do want to buy an item from the shop you don’t have to break the bank.
I’d say almost half of the shop’s content is show merchandise. Which I guess makes sense since most of the shop’s visitors nowadays only visit because of the show, but yeah… It definitely made it feel like a bit of a tourist trap.
What’s more, the merch was pretty expensive! I can’t say for sure off the top of my head, but I think T-Shirts were around $45. There was also quite a lot of questionable Chumlee merch, and I really didn’t understand who would be buying it.
I personally wouldn’t walk around town in this vest that says “Enjoy Chumlee” in the Coca-Cola font, but, again, what do I know…
The actual stars of the show unfortunately don’t work at the shop on a day-to-day basis anymore, so it’s very unlikely that you’ll actually get to see them on your visit, but fear not! There’s a huge cardboard cutout of Rick that you can take a photo with instead.
Overall, I think Rob and I spent around 20 minutes in the shop, browsing and taking some photos, and I feel like this is the right amount of time to allocate to your visit.
Is The Pawn Stars Shop Worth Visiting?
The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop is a very cool place to visit, and I recommend it, but it’s highly unlikely that it’ll be the best thing you see or do in Las Vegas. As long as you go there with realistic expectations, and you’re into the show, I think you’ll find the Pawn Stars shop to be worth a visit.
Whether or not the pawn shop is worth visiting on your trip to Vegas totally depends on how much you’re into the show. I saw numerous people on forums say that it was a waste of time to visit since at the end of the day it’s just a shop. What did they expect, though?
It’s literally just a shop! I don’t know what else the people who were disappointed expected to find here. I think these high expectations are maybe what make people say it’s disappointing and not worth a visit.
I am personally very glad I visited the pawn shop. For me, it was worth visiting. It had been on my travel bucket list for years so there was no way I was visiting Las Vegas without stopping by!
Practical details & tips for your visit
- Although the pawn shop is technically open 24 hours, it’s actually only a small drive-up pawn window that is open 24 hours. The shop itself is open between 10am and 5:30pm every day of the week.
- It’s important to keep your expectations realistic. Although it’s very cool to visit the actual pawn shop you see on TV, it’s just a shop at the end of the day.
- Don’t expect to see any of the cast there. The guys from the show don’t work there on a day-to-day basis anymore, so you’re only likely to see them if you book a meet and greet.
- The Pawn Stars shop location and address is 713 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
- To reduce your chances of having to wait in line it’s best to visit Monday-Thursday before noon.
Other Pawn Stars Attractions in Las Vegas
You can’t watch a full episode of Pawn Stars without Rick, at least once, saying that he’ll need to call a buddy of his to check out an item brought into the pawn shop. So it goes without saying that Las Vegas has numerous other Pawn Stars locations! Here are my top picks:
- The D Casino, on Fremont Street, is often featured in Pawn Stars B-roll (I swear they must have a sponsorship deal).
- The Toy Shack is owned by the show’s toy expert Johnny Jimenez, who is often at the store.
- Chumlee’s Candy is just across the car park from the pawn shop.
- Count’s Kustoms, as featured in Counting Cars and Pawn Stars.
- Rick Harrison’s Roll’n Smoke BBQ & Tavern, which is again just across the car park from the pawn shop.
